We we’re first approached by event organizers, Toni and Collin Mclntosh, a couple with a love and passion for showjumping. Collin is a former Olympic rider and Toni an accomplished Grand Prix showjumper. For them, it was a goal to enhance the status and popularity of Show Jumping in the country, and it just happened to be that there was a world-class facility here in Taupo, with the Fiber Fresh National Equestrian Centre. For us, it was seen as an exciting opportunity to support something outside of our typical market of boating. Toni and Collin both had a vision to create something that pushed the boundaries of typical Equestrian Shows.
With that, we managed to bring a few of our latest boats to showcase at the venue along with a Yamaha WaveRunner that was parked up inside the Indoor facility. Who knows what might happen next year, with conversations surrounding a horse jumping over a WaveRunner.
All in all the event was a huge success, with a major prize pool for respected horse riders, food vendors of all sorts and even a Weber BBQ that was up for grabs!
