For over six decades, the Hamills name has been synonymous with hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Launched in 1955 in Rotorua by the legendary Bill Hamill, Hamills Fishing and Hunting Specialists Stores have continued to hold strong to Bill’s expertise in fishing and firearms.
Saran and Amy have been proud owners of Hamills Taupo since 2017 and have built it into Taupo’s favourite little hunting shop, with an emphasis on great customer service with a smile. Saran is a keen freshwater fisherman, hunter and active member of the NZDA Taupo and The Sika Foundation. He’s equally passionate about getting his customers set up with epic gear for their adventures; as he is about getting out there himself. Being off the beaten track in the middle of the bush is his happy place and he’ll use pack rafts, kayaks, mountain bikes or two legs to get there! Amy enjoys being active in the outdoors and loves getting in the bush for a good hunt, but is happiest near the water. Together, they love to share their passion with the outdoors with their two young kids as much as possible.
